Lee's Coming Home!

Ok, I'll admit it, sending Sam to his new home left a really big hole in our house. But tonight that empty void got a little smaller. I have pictures of our new foster. Her name is Lee and she is a beautiful yellow lab. She'll be coming home with me Thursday or Friday! Just in time for Halloween.....

Hhmm, there's still time for a trip to Walmart for a costume!

11-18-08 Lee was adopted and went to her forever home, it was so neat to see how happy her new mom and dad were.

It Was Too Good To Last

Sam is an awesome dog, but he's already found a home, and has moved on. We miss him terribly. Here's the most adorable picture of him. Andrew is going to really miss him. Sam bonded with him right away. You could really tell that his previous owner must have been a guy, because Sam gravitated to Andrew immediately. When he needed something he went to Andrew first. Kind of a let down for me, because I am so use to being the Mom and everyone comes to me if they want or need something. Not that he didn't come to me if he needed food, to go out or to play, but when Andrew was home, Sam would go to him first.

Sam validated my thoughts about having a big dog and specifically a lab again. It was a good choice and we are both looking forward to our next foster!
